Allergic Rhinitis Symptoms
Typical symptoms, of both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, include:
Sneezing
Itchy, blocked or runny nose
Red, itchy or watery eyes
Itchy throat, inner ear or mouth
Headaches
A general feeling of being unwell
The same allergens affect people differently — some will be affected by only one or two symptoms, while others may have all of them.
In addition to the symptoms above, allergens can also trigger symptoms more usually associated with asthma, such as tight chest, shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing. If this is the case, it is advisable to speak to a doctor or nurse as soon as possible.
